According to Merriam-Webster.com, vision has a few definitions. Some given are:
- a thought, concept, or object formed by the imagination
- the act or power of imagination
- (1): mode of seeing or conceiving; (2) unusual discernment of foresight
I like to think of vision as being able to imagine, see your future and see the big picture.
Why do you need a vision?
Having a vision for your life can inspire you to reach for the things you want. It’s probably the number one way to stay focused on the things you desire in life, and it helps you stay motivated in getting there.
So, in a nutshell, a vision opens your mind to a lot of possibilities and a bigger and brighter future that’s enhanced, more joyful and productive, you’re more likely to make the changes necessary to get the type of life you want and deserve.
“The future belongs to those who see possibilities before they become obvious.” - John Scully
